]]> Community Energy Congress coming to Bendigo https://www.masg.org.au/2024/02/21/community-energy-congress-coming-to-bendigo/ Wed, 21 Feb 2024 12:37:49 +0000 https://www.masg.org.au/?p=3200 A 2024 Community Energy Congress is happening in Sydney on the 6th and 7th March 2024. To provide access to anyone unable to attend in person there are now other options available – to join via a hybrid option online OR potentially to attend a regional ‘hub’ event.

The Sustainability Network Loddon Mallee is working towards setting up a regional hub in Bendigo.

Each of the sessions will have plenty of opportunities for questions (with a Q&A app) and so we encourage you to consider this option if you are interested in the event but cannot make it to Sydney. 

Regional hubs will have the opportunity to partake in a facilitated session re: creating a community renewable vision whereby we will collect and share knowledge about driving change in our own communities. 

Please save the date (6th March 2024) in your calendar until final details are provided in the coming weeks. Also, please spread the word to our community energy networks.

]]> Wash Against Waste needs volunteers! https://www.masg.org.au/2024/02/14/wash-against-waste-needs-volunteers/ Wed, 14 Feb 2024 12:11:12 +0000 https://www.masg.org.au/?p=3198 The MASG Wash Against Waste trailer is a fixture at festivals and events in our region, preventing a whole lot of take away food containers, cutlery, drink cups etc. going to landfill. In March it will be at the following festivals, and we need volunteers to help out on these days…

March 10th – Taradale Mineral Springs Festival

March 17th – Bendigo Sustainability Festival

We also need volunteers to tow the Wash Against Waste Trailer to different events throughout the year. If you have a vehicle large enough to do this and are up for it, please let Chris know (see above contact details).
