20 Years

Celebrating 20 Years of Community Climate Action - Shaping the Next 20 Years.

Murnong_4_66p
2006 was a powerful year for climate and sustainability action.
Critical research was published, questions were posed, responsive action taken and purpose-led movements were established.

Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” was released, bringing the stark realities of climate change to the big screen and mainstream discussion.

And, Mount Alexander Sustainability Group (MASG) became incorporated, led by a passionate group of locals who wanted to see coordinated action on climate change and support the Mount Alexander Shire Community to work towards a sustainable future.

As MASG celebrates our 20th Anniversary of Incorporation in 2026, we’re inviting community to join us in reflecting on the past, exploring the present and visualising our future together.

Across October and November we’re getting out into community spaces and hosting events for community to gather with us, around this 20 Years of Climate and Sustainability Action in Mount Alexander Shire.

How can you participate?

And, just come say hi when you see MASG staff and volunteers out and about at community events, tell us your stories of local climtate and sustainability action!
