Electrify Loddon Mallee – Power Together is a regional initiative led by the Mount Alexander Sustainability Group (MASG) with the Bendigo Sustainability Group (BSG) and partners across the Loddon Mallee. Supported by Sustainability Victoria’s Community Electrification Engagement Program, the project brings communities together to build awareness, skills, and confidence around household electrification.
Bright Sparks Program
The Bright Sparks Program trains local community volunteers as Bright Spark Mentors to help households understand and take action on home electrification, in practical ways.
These volunteers provide friendly, accessible support with energy literacy, resources, and government programs such as Victorian Energy Upgrades, the SEC Electric Home Planner, and Solar Victoria. The project also includes the creation of locally informed educational resources and videos, plus community events and workshops that meet people “where they’re at.” Based in communities across the Loddon Mallee, the Bright Spark Program aims to continue empowering residents to make informed energy choices well beyond the life of the project.
