Bright Sparks Program
Part of the Electrify Loddon Mallee – Power Together project, the Bright Sparks Program upskills local people in tools for supporting their community to engage with information, tools and resources about home electrification.
Essentially, making sense of home electrification together!
Bright Spark Volunteers:
-
- are located in community settings, such as Neighbourhood Houses, Men’s Sheds, sporting clubs, faith based groups, etc.
-
- will be available at a schedule agreed upon together with the Bright Spark Program host site – weekly, fortnightly, monthly, up to the volunteer!
-
- work with people to read and understand their energy bills.
-
- support people to access existing information, tools and resources, such as the SEC Home Planner, information about current rebates and more, so as people have the information needed to make choices for home electrification appropriate to their needs, capacity and resources.
-
- will not tell people what to do or how to electrify their home, or advise to make changes or speak with a company on anyone’s behalf, but will support people to access the information they need to make these plans themselves.
